We did a 2 day roadtrip, driving from Ireland to Denmark (during winter) with two kids under the age of 18 months, 2 dogs and Sound of Music. Man, it was a long journey, but we still had fun. Kids were amazingly well behaved. You can read about in my blog: http://www.judgebrix.com/blog/2005/12/20/kids-dogs-breast-milk-and-christmas-going-mobile/

15-months! wow, you're bolder than me. unless you're driving solo, maybe scrap all these tips and drive thru the night while they're sleeping.

We have THREE road trips planned with our 15-month-old twin girls in the next few months. Will definitely keep these tips in mind.
