Oh my how I am blessed with simple support systems. I realize what these people, my family and friends have been to me, gifts of support and praise. Everyone needs this and these children are struggling without this scaffolding. Many folks take for granted this kind of love and necessary support not appreciating those simple things that can change your life. I am currently living through changes and away from my family and friends. It is a time of reflection and growth, a time of introspection and loneliness. I know what this kind of love means and these children do as well. Thank you Suzanne for your time and gift of love and support for these boys.

Anyone interested in this sort of work should check out the webpage or FB page of “Boys Council” This is a Very experientil set of group activities and debriefing questions to help boys develop healthy masuculine identity and question some of our cultures unhealthy expectations.

They step to the line for one another because teachers and principals like you two believe in them. Who else does? Not many adults, it seems. Thankfully, your school recognizes that there is so much more to teach than basic book subjects. Start with faith and trust and then branch out from there. This video made the story come alive.
