Actor’s recent homophobic comments cited as cause.
With the traditional “mutual parting of the ways,” Up Late With Alec Baldwin is no more. The show went on a two week hiatus after Baldwin’s recent run in with a photographer that Variety describes as,
The imbroglio centered on a remark the actor was overheard making when warding off photographers he felt were getting too close to his family after his appearance in a particularly sensitive court case involving a woman accused of stalking him. Baldwin later apologized for the remark on Twitter and on MSNBC’s website.
Variety states that the actor was not fired, but that the separation from MSNBC was mutually agreed upon. You can read the full article here.
