The Coen brothers are together again to bring a brand new comedy to fans
The Coen brothers are known for their clever comedies. They have directed such wonderful movies like O Brother Where Art Thou and Intolerable Cruelty and these film were clever and introduced a new kind of comedy. The first trailer for Hail, Caeser! has been released and it looks like it will follow in the foot steps of its predecessors.
Eddie Mannix (Josh Brolin) has an interesting job in Hollywood as a fixer of sorts for some films being made in the golden age of cinema. His most recent work is a big budget version of Julius Caeser. The biggest star of the era Baird Whitlock (George Clooney) is to play Caeser but he is having a hard time with this role. But during production Baird is kidnapped and no one knows where he is. Eddie finds a message that asks for a ransom for the release of his film star. They call themselves the future and demand a lot of money for his release. Eddie has to find a way to find his star but he has no idea how. Who are these people who kidnapped Baird? Why did they take him? And will Eddie find his star for the film to be finished in time?
The movie has an all star cast. It looks silly but in a clever way and could be another hit for the Coen brothers. This writer is intrigued by the unique premise and this new role for Brolin. The films has Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill, Ralph Fiennes and Scarlett Johannson in roles that look to be both peculiar but each one has an important role to play. This looks to be the perfect blend of action and drama to make for a must see film next year.
If you are a fans of the Coen brothers work you will definitely want to see this movie. If you want to see a different kind of comedic film this is the one you will want to see. Hail, Caeser comes out February 5,2016.
