A new film that continues right where the show left off
The movie takes is back to the world of Vince, E, Drama, Turtle and Ari Gold. They now live in Hollywood, and Vince is a big movie star. He has acted in a number of big films and is well known in the town. The gang is living a rich lifestyle now and much has changed, but some things haven’t. Let it be known I am not a fan of the show, but that is not needed to like this movie. There are a lot of great cameos in here and lots of moments that audiences are going to love.
The film begins with Vince making a big step, and one that gets the movie going right away. He has an idea for a new movie, and pitches it to Ari Gold who is know the head of a major film studio. It is called Hyde and Vince says he not only wants to star in it, but he demands to direct it too. Ari is not sure if this is a good idea, but he trusts Vince enough to give him a shot. But in short time the film goes way over budget. Ari is furious, especially since he has no idea what the film is about and no assurance that it is any good. He has not seen the film, and Vince is making sure to keep the plot a secret until it is finished.
Vince says he needs more money to finish this masterpiece which is a hard request to make to Ari. But with the deadline of the release coming up, does he really have any choice. From here we get to see one of the gang is going to be a dad real soon, and another member has lost a lot of weight. Life for the gang looks perfect, but they all have their troubles and difficulties going on. Whether it is having anger issues, making a fool out of yourself on the internet or just sleeping around, things are never slow or boring in this imaginary world. How is Ari going to get the money so Vince can finish the film? Why does Vince need it so badly? And without knowing anything about the film, will it be worth it?
The whole cast is a perfect match in this movie. They all get along great and have a very strong bond, obviously one that has only grown stronger since the show ended a few years ago on HBO. It is a enjoyable ride down the high points of Hollywood and there is nothing left to the imagination.
I really enjoyed this film, and honestly didn’t expect to when I first saw it. I thought it was going to be okay, or at the worst case an awful film that should have never been made, but thankfully my fears were unfounded. It is not only a good film, but one that is amazing and has the potential to be a movie everyone will enjoy and not just the fans of the TV program. With some many twists and surprises along the way, it makes for one heck of a ride from start to the finale.
Because of these reason The Entourage movie gets 9/10. It has things that teens and adults will laugh at, and yet it is not a movie for kids. But fans will love this movie, and it is sure to bring them back to this universe with a bang. It is a surprisingly great film and it has the chance to do really well this weekend.
If you are looking for a movie to see with your friends, this is the film to watch. If you liked the show, you have to run out and see this movie. There really is little that can be spoken badly about this movie. Hollywood took a risk making it, but I think it is safe to say that it will pay off.
