Yesterday, JK Rowling confirmed there were Jewish wizards in attendance at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from her “Harry Potter” series. Rowling specifically named Anthony Goldstein as a prime example of a Jewish wizard at Hogwarts.
The exchange on Twitter leading to this information coming out led others to ask about LGBT students.
One Twitter user tweeted this at Rowling:

@jk_rowling it’s safe to assume that Hogwarts had a variety of people and I like to think it’s a safe place for LGBT students
Rowling responded in the best way possible. This was her tweet:
Not only is that funny, it’s also heartwarming. Isn’t JK Rowling the best?
