Full of new dinosaurs, exciting attractions and terrifying dangers
There has not been a Jurassic Park film in theaters for over 10 years. When the first Jurassic Park was released in 1993, audiences had never seen a movie like it. The park was astounding, full of creatures thought to be dead long ago. From start to finish it was a film destined to stand the test of time. Two sequels were released afterwards as Hollywood loves to do when something does well, but both of them were not that great, and certainly not as good as the original.
So people have to wonder why make another one, especially after such along time. For that matter what are the chances of making a film that not only connects with the original but finds ways to transcend it. This is no easy task, and even with Chris Pratt there is no guarantee that it would be good.
But this reviewer is here to say a rare feat has been obtained, one that happens only a few times in a film series. This movie is wonderful. From the sets, to the new park right down to the cast everything is on point from beginning to end. It brings this flailing series back to electrifying life and does more than that. The film is so good that the series may yet get to live on.
The basic plot is that the park has been around for about 10 years now, and it is very popular. It is like Disney world, if it was full of dinosaurs that is. There are habitats for different dinosaur species, shows, rides for the kids and it even has a few hotels. Two brothers get the chance to visit this one of a kind park, and it defies explanation. Those in charge this time have changed this park from a once disaster to somewhere that thousands of people visit every year. It is located on an island far from civilization, and to many people is a paradise.
But like any park, those in charge have to keep on coming up with new ways to keep it exciting so people don’t stop visiting them. A good idea comes to the scientists on just how to liven the place up no matter how dangerous this could be. Owen Grady ( Chris Pratt) in one of his best performances yet, works here as a trainer. He works with the velociraptors, and has built a strong bond with them. One day his services are requested to help with the upcoming new attraction. Once the attraction is shown to the audience, things get very interesting. What is this new attraction? Why did they make it? And is it a good or bad thing to mess with nature like this?
The film deals with some many issues. Greed is a big one, shown in so many ways in this film. Those who have a lot of money tend to think the rules don’t apply to them. This film shows how bad power and greed can be, and gives many extreme examples of what happens to people like this.
Messing with nature through science is another big issue. We have many people all over the world who doing this, and there have been some good benefits from this type of research. But this movie shows ways how that can be a bad thing. The films main message is that science and nature can be a volatile thing to mess with, and if you are going to do that, tread softly and don’t push too nature to hard or it may just push back at you.
This is a really good movie. It is the best in the series, and rivals the original in so many ways. Because of this, the movie gets and has fully earned 10/10. It is the first must see movie of the summer, and has something all ages can enjoy. From the invigorating plot to the special effects and even the cast there is nothing bad that can be said about this new movie. It may be fair to say that this will probably not be the last of this series.
If you are looking for a good action film to see with friends, take them to see this movie. If you enjoyed the first Jurassic Park, this is a film you will not want to miss out on. It really is just a perfect movie and has something for dinosaur lovers young and old.
