Believe it or not, a sequel for this film is really happening.
Fox 2000 is ready to put Robin Williams back in the fat suit.
That’s right, after 21 years, everyone’s favorite nanny is coming back to the big screen: A “Mrs. Doubtfire” sequel is happening.
The sequel has been in the works since 2001, when Bonnie Hunt was chosen to write the script, but after many rewrites and drafts, the project slowly fell off the map. Now, David Berenbaum, who wrote “Elf,” has stepped up to the plate.
Details about the film have yet to be released, but we do know Williams and director Chris Columbus are definitely on board. We can’t wait!
Veronica Grossman is thrilled to be writing entertainment pieces for Elite Daily. Maybe they will get together with Tyler Perry and do Madeea meets Mrs.Doubtfire.Yea!
That would be surreal. Maybe we could get Dustin Hoffman to bring back “Tootsie?”
