This Aladdin Reunion panel had the voices of Jasmine, Jafar and the animator who brought Abu to life
This summer at Sac Anime there was a panel that brought some of the Aladdin cast back together. It was an Aladdin Reunion that brought the voices of Jafar, Jasmine and the animator of Abu together again. It was a panel that came to Sacramento, CA for the first time and only happened for two of the three days of this convention. I was lucky to be able to attend this amazing panel and here is what I thought of it.
Here is short bio for the voice of Jafar:
Jonathan Freeman is an American actor, singer, voice actor, puppeteer, and comedian, known for voicing Jafar in Disney’s Aladdin franchise, as well as the Kingdom Hearts franchise and the 2011 Aladdin Broadway musical.
Here is a short bio for the voice of Princess Jasmine:
Linda Larkin is best known for providing the speaking voice of Princess Jasmine in the movie Aladdin and in various sequels and spin-offs, as well as in the Kingdom Hearts and Disney Infinity video game series.
It was wonderful for me as a fan of this film to get to see these two amazing voice actors come to Sacramento for this Aladdin Reunion panel. They told some really good stories about a film I still love watching to this very day. I was lucky to get to talk to both of them, ask them a question and get a picture with them too. Fans can follow Linda Larkin on Facebook and Twitter.
Here is a short bio on the animator of Abu:
Rick Farmiloe has been animating childhoods for over thirty years. He is the man who breathed hilarity into the iconic Disney sidekick Abu from Aladdin.
Together these three people gave fans a panel that was truly special. They were extremely kind to their fans and were glad to answer their questions. They all had great stories to tell of Robin Williams and what a joy it was to work with him. It was clear they all missed him and like his fans loved him dearly.
If you ever get a chance to meet any of these people in your town do it, you will be glad that you did. You can learn more about Disney’s Aladdin on this website.
