Dr. Rob Garofalo survived cancer only to be diagnosed HIV+ a few years later. He was depressed and alone until his new Yorkie puppy inspired him to take his lemons and make lemonade for everyone else.

Bio: Dr. Robert Garofalo, M.D., M.P.H., is the Division Chief of Adolescent Medicine at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, the Director of the hospital’s Gender, Sexuality and HIV Prevention Center, as well as an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Northwestern University. Rob is also the founder of the charity Fred Says, which raises money for HIV+ teens, and the father to Fred.
