About J.A. Dela Cruz-Smith
J. A. is Chamoru and Filipino. He is a student in the low residency BFA in Creative Writing program at Goddard College. He writes poetry to reclaim, recreate, and record his histories. He was a finalist for Passages North's Elinor Benedict Poetry Prize. He loves working with children and sings when nobody's around. He is a co-editor of poetry for the literary journal Duende and is currently at work on a chapbook of poems.
