About Joshua Wood
Joshua Wood is co-director of the Creative Writing Conservatory at the Orange County School of the Arts, which serves talented 7th-12th graders. There he teaches a variety of workshops in poetry and prose, leads a community storytelling class, and advises the award-winning literary and art magazine. He was a past recipient of a John Fowles Writing Center Award for Fiction and finalist for the Pablo Neruda and James Hurst Prizes for Poetry. His writing appears in The North American Review. VOLT, SpiralOrb, DIAGRAM, Berkeley Poetry Review, OccuPoetry, and elsewhere. Previously, he was an editor for dirtcakes, a journal dedicated to exploring themes suggested by the UN Millennium Development Goals to end extreme poverty.
