Clark Little has been in the ocean his whole life, body surfing and boogie boarding in Hawaii, and it’s the thing he has always loved.
One day he was inspired to take a photo of a shore break wave – when a wave crashes down on the sand instead of a reef – and defy the tradition of taking the sort of photos you see on the cover of surf magazines.
Clark’s photos show the sand being spun around, water splashing up, foam on all sides. Photos of the pipe are awesome, but these photos show the power of the ocean, and a side of nature’s glory you often don’t see until you’re in the middle of the break, being pounded.
That may be some of the appeal of Clark’s photos – you don’t have to get tossed over the falls to experience the glory of water closing in around you.
Even better, it’s the thing Clark loves, and he’s made it his passion.
What would YOU do if you could do what you love? How would you like to redefine an industry?
