This video is not for the faint of heart. It shows Simon Dumont doing what he does best — challenging the jumps and going higher, further, faster each time. And it also shows the times he didn’t make it—overshooting a 100-foot jump in Park City, for example, where he suffered devastating injuries.
But more than anything, this is a story of triumph. Simon Dumont first started competing at age 14, and went on to win 10 X Games medals as well as setting a new 35.5-foot high world record quarterpipe air.
