You saw The Rollings Stones in 1978, you were even at that crazy 1984 Depeche Mode show in Germany, but tonight you are here. Your 13-year-old daughter Kaylee wanted to see a band she believes is greater than The Rolling Stones will ever be, a band known as One Direction. You are a good dad so you go to the show with her and close your eyes and remember that time you heard Keith Richards hit the opening chords to Start Me Up and pray that One Direction keeps it to one encore. I loved it! You are great dads indeed…
Some of my best memories of my dad are the concerts he took me and my friends to when I was a teenager (Depeche Mode, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Gene Loves Jezebel, Flesh for Lulu, Nelson, Thomas Dolby, OMD, etc). He even bought a black polo shirt to go with his black slacks so he would blend in. My, dad, the goth.
These dads might like Dr. Doofenschmirtz’s take on One Direction.
