Vincent Schilling is successful – he’s an author, radio host, activist, and Vice President of his own company.
But it wasn’t always easy for him.
In this moving, hopeful and brutally honest video, Schilling talks to young people who are depressed, out cast and suicidal and tells them about him when he was younger. Skinny, unpopular and brown (Schilling is Native American), he was mocked and bullied. He admits that in his desperation to be accepted, he was friends with an older boy who molested him. He became depressed and despondent, but the survived.
Schilling’s video gives hope to young people, someone to look at as an example of hope.
And his honesty makes him a warrior too.
Thank you, Vincent, from all the kids – and parents of the kids – you give hope to.

Vincent,
Thank you so much for your powerful, courageous, and inspiring video. Your journey resonates deeply with me as a survivor, and your words echo much of what I have felt and experienced.
There are millions of us out here. Male Survivors abuse and trauma who have struggled to find support and understanding. I will be sharing your video though our networks.
You are not alone. It was not your fault. Healing is possible – for ALL of us.
