This is What Happens When Engineers Own Dogs (Video)

No time to play with your dog? No problem, just use this clever contraption instead!

Jerry Dog, an old dauschund, runs over and places the ball into the device. The device leans up and shoots the ball across the room. Jerry Dog runs across the room to fetch the ball and bring it back. Rinse and repeat.

This is one of those things that rides a very fine line between clever and kind of lazy, but it’s funny and made me smile. What else is the internet good for if not for strange but joy-bringing videos, am I right?

Anyway, hope you aren’t freezing like where I am. Happy Wednesday!

  1. Valter Viglietti says:

Oh, I envy dogs; they can be oh-so-happy with such simple things! 🙂

  2. My dog wants one of these.

    • My dog would eat it 🙁

      • Deanna Ogle says:

I don’t think my dog would eat it… He might be terrified of it though. He’s scared of fire hydrants, so who knows. 🙂

        • My dog is very, VERY highly motivated at retrieving. He would learn to load this in about 30 seconds.

        • haha mine chewed wood as a puppy even though I had evvvery toy imaginable, and a constant supply of brisket bones for him to chew. Had to finally use curry powder on the wood to stop him chewing it, the bitter spray did nothing!
