This comment by Michael on the post Dating Struggles That No Other Generation Has Had To Deal With
I disagree with so much of this. The Author writes about previous generations without a fact or statistic to prove his/her point. Its seems as if their ideas of dating in previous generations were inspired by romcoms and period pieces. The truth is we have always been the way we are now, the only difference is we publish our lives and live them like an open wound. Previous generations slept around, the only difference was that their events were shared by word of mouth and could be controlled and possibly silenced. This generation’s decision to share not only their own but other people’s events (via text or photos) online gives the illusion that the sleeping around has increased, however it’s just more public for those that allow it.
+++++++
Food for Thought:
The more things change the more they stay the same. People have loved, had sex and relationships forever, and yet every generation is convinced they invented it anew.

She is not because they met on line, she just is. I think the point the cartoonist is trying to make is that when you meet on line you never really know who the person you’re meeting is. People embellish, lie and create false profiles all the time, as well as present themselves to be someone they are not. Once you actually meet, if you do, you can start to get to know the real person.
why is she a hooker if they met online?
