Did you remember your first crush?

I had lots and lots and lots of crushes, starting in junior high.
Long before the days of *69 and caller ID, my girlfriends and I would dial numbers over and over again and hang up when the object of our affection answered the phone. Then summer between 8th and 9th grade I had my first boyfriend. It was love … and we continued our stormy relationship all the way through high school and into college. And then I realized there were lots and lots of boys everywhere.
And at 20, I met the man to whom I am still married to this day, 31 years later, married for 28 years. It has not been easy! It’s hard work. As to my first boyfriend, well, as I was meeting my husband-to-be he was admitting to himself that he preferred men to women. He ended up being an usher in my wedding and is a dear friend to this day.
So … I guess it all worked out.
