I walked away from mine too. Things went from bad to worse and before we knew it, we quit on each other and went our separate ways.
Somehow just knowing that the other person wasn’t right for you doesn’t take you out of the darkness. You still find yourself missing every little quirk, every little nuance. The sound of their laughter, the touch of their skin, it’s so very lonely at a time like this.
You think it’s going to last forever. The thought of someone new is mildly repulsive at times.
