Im an Atheist however I really enjoy reading the articles in the ‘Spirituality Section’.
It brings new voices (the great majority of people believe in an Intelligent First Cause), and new male perspectives to GMP – how faith guides and instructs men in their masculinities.
Excellent goods from you, man. I’ve understand your stuff previous to and you’re just too great. I actually like what you have acquired here, certainly like what you are stating and the way in which you say it. You make it enjoyable and you still take care of to keep it smart. I cant wait to read much more from you. This is really a terrific website.
As a “non-atheist” … thank you. One cool thing about the 60’s/70’s and the so called hippie movement, there was a connection with mother earth and the wonders that mother nature has. I find thunderstorms to e tranquil … a great time to sit on the front porch with a cup of coffee and just think. Thanks again.
I totally get this. I’m an atheist-leaning agnostic, but/and I think meditation is really powerful stuff, and I think prayer can have positive effects on one’s life. I don’t think it’s anything supernatural happening, and I don’t think prayer is actually received by anything but your own brain, but there really are benefits to sitting quietly and thinking deeply about abstract things. At the very least, if you’re sitting quietly with your eyes closed picturing something in your mind, that’s better for you than thousands of other things you could be doing (driving drunk, shooting heroin, watching daytime TV, etc.)
How wonderful 🙂 and quite unexpected, as it just was a passing comment.
The only time ive expected a ‘Comment of the day’ log, was for my Captain Schettino post months ago – which I didnt get *weeps and wails*
