“But Terence raises a good point. Just like a man that will walk all over a woman once he realizes he can get away with it, women have the capacity to do the exact same. One weird difference is, depending on who you talk to, one is a jerk for doing or the one is a doormat for letting it happen to them.

“I’ve had people, in the same conversation, switch from saying that a guy that walked all over a woman was a jerk to saying that a woman that walked all over a guy was justified in doing because the guy was ‘stupid enough to let her do it.’ (And I bet money that you could hear the reverse.)

“I let a woman do just that to me when I was in college. And now, almost 10 years later, am just really coming to terms with it to at least try to move on (yeah one of my biggest flaws is that I hold grudges).”
