The Spring rains have been bountiful on the mountain.

After two long years of drought, the parched earth drinks deeply of the life sustaining water.
There is a joyous intimacy to this process as the Earth opens to her pluvial lover.
The rains are drawn deeply into the soil, and the outward expression of this Gaian lovemaking is the magnificence of the flowers.
Here, the last of the morning’s showers bejewel the petals of this mallow like kisses from the clouds.
All too soon though, the rains will be a distant memory as the great heat of summer is building on these wild Barbary shores.
