Chris Crass raises his voice for reproductive justice.

If it wasn’t for grassroots, direct action-oriented, feminist efforts to win access to safe and low cost abortion, I likely would not have the incredible two kids I have today.
As a teenager, a partner and I had an abortion, as we knew we were in no way ready to be parents or that we had the foundations for a healthy long term family. I am thankful to Planned Parenthood for providing compassionate, accessible reproductive health care that has enabled me to be the Father I always wanted to be, raising my two boys in a healthy and loving family.
I’m thankful for Planned Parenthood, and my family is committed to economic, racial, and gender justice to help us all get free from the devastation of white supremacist capitalist patriarchy that threatens reproductive justice, self-determination for women, genderqueer and transmasculine people over their bodies, and families like mine all over the country. I support #PlannedParenthood and I know millions of other father’s do too. Let Dads, Bapas, And Papas all over the country raise our voices for reproductive justice!
Another man’s take on it. 1. Reproductive justice does not exist. Men do not have the right to unilaterally refuse parental responsibilities or have an option to choose to be parents. Non sequitur. One Black person wanting to end abortions doesn’t mean white supremacy doesn’t exist. That whites control 80% of the power in the United States, however, means it does.
“…to help us all get free from the devastation of white supremacist capitalist patriarchy that threatens reproductive justice, self-determination for women…” White supremacist? Have you been listening to Ben Carson? You know the brilliant brain surgeon that’s running for president, who happens to be black and wants to end abortions. That sounds like a white supremacist to me!
Yes David, Carson does represent white supremacy – he’s well-known for supporting white supremacy, internalized racism runs deep and even black people can work in favor of white supremacy, look at black people who helped to keep African slaves in line for their white masters. Maybe if you’re confused by this concept you should take some time learning about racism and white supremacy.
Hear, hear! Planning parenthood – what a wonderful idea.
“Planning parenthood – what a wonderful idea.”
Why isn’t it wonderful enough to expand to men. Thank right. Men have to have foresight, understand risks, and be willing to accept responsibility for their actions / decisions. In other words, men need to be adults. What a wonderful concept if only we could expand the idea of being adults to women.
