I always love reading these. When you have social anxiety you have all these signals, just for different reasons.
Wow – it would sure suck if someone had Asperger’s or was otherwise autism spectrum disorder because then they would stammer, look away, clear their throat, and otherwise exhibit behaviour described above as “giveaways” of lying. I think the above video generalises too much
These things are heavily culturally bound and generally only apply to people that are generally honest. A psychopath is likely to have no problem passing a lie detector test as they either believe that they can’t be caught or that there’s nothing to get caught for. It’s more likely that somebody looking away is telling the truth as a liar benefits more from being able to see if the person is buying into the story than somebody who knows it to be true.
