If you’ve been reading through the evidence that was presented to the grand jury in the case of the death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, MO and feel like a few things are off, this Young Turks broadcast may solidify what’s sitting wrong with you.
The Young Turks are noted as being edgy, progressive political and cultural commentators, so don’t expect moderate and calm conversation from this video. It is laced with swear words, and it’s clear how angry these men are.
But they represent the frustration of so many of us, who feel like, at the very least, Darren Wilson should be seeing the inside of a courtroom for a trial over the death of the young man, who was about to start college the day after he died.
What do you think of the Young Turks’ assessment of this case?
At the very least, don’t they have a point when it comes to an officer opening fire in a residential neighborhood? They did have his name, they knew he wasn’t armed. They could have arrested him for assaulting the officer, and the cigarillo theft. It wouldn’t have been that hard to let him just run away (which the officer even admits he was doing).
