Dillan DiGiovanni describes a job that requires men to use both finesse and brute strength to clean trash from trees.
Did you catch this video about men playing around with trash?
It tells the story of men in New York City who make a living by pulling plastic bags and other trash out of the tall trees.
Pulling trash out of trees–what was your first thought when you read that?
Well, watch the video and see what you think at the end:
The Bagsnaggers from CitizenHefetz on Vimeo.
These guys spend their days cooperating with each other to keep the city more beautiful, making sure garbage ends up where it belongs–in the trash barrels and not our oceans or in the stomachs of animals.
Here’s my favorite quote, “the tools are simple and the work is laborious. It requires a balance of finesse and brute strength to coax tangled garbage out of the branches.”
Indeed, what in life doesn’t require a wonderful balance of those essential skills? We could all learn a thing or two from the bagsnaggers.
