When a bride loses her father before her wedding, the men in her family step up. Keep your tissues handy.
____
Grief and loss aren’t easy. They become all the more difficult when we are celebrating special occasions.
Suddenly, the empty seat can seem all the more glaring.
Often when people lose someone, they assume that the things they needed and wanted from that person are also lost, that they don’t get to have them.
They tell themselves that they have to stop needing and wanting and they call it “acceptance” or “closure”.
I imagine that this bride thought that she would be missing out on the father/daughter dance at her wedding.
She was wrong.

It looks like the bride had a good time. Sweet story.
God Bless all these men for their open loving hearts to give such a priceless gift
