Everyone has their Disney Side, and a bunch of popular Internet dads and family-friendly all-stars were given the opportunity to show theirs. It was something close to magical.

Earlier this week a number of “Social Media All-Stars” were invited to Disneyland to show the world their “Disney Side.” I was invited to go there and meet them.
Among those providing us with looks at their #DisneySide was friend of the program, noted dad and entertainment blogger, and all around good guy, Charlie Capen who appeared on behalf of the wildly popular HowToBeADad.com. Capen started the site with equally good guy Andy Herald, and they have been wowing the Internets ever since. Seriously, they really are wonderful people, but don’t tell them I said that—I wouldn’t want this “all-star” thing to go to their virtual head.
Also providing their Disney Side from the parenting/family point of view were the hilarious duo of Matthew Clarke and David Milchard from the hit web series Convos With My 2-Year-Old. Turns out they are great guys, too! Who knew? We spent two days talking about the wonderful world of the Internet and riding everything we were tall enough to go on. Also, churros. Note: I will update this post with their #DisneySide video once it becomes available.
There were a handful of other dads and/or family-friendly people participating as well, some of which you can find on the Vine:
- Brittlestar
- Rob Johnston
- Ian Padgham
- Josh Darnit
- Evancredible
I would be remiss to write about this experience without giving some props to my new friend Grumpy Cat, who doesn’t really consider me a friend at all. Still, awesome!
Here is Charlie’s Disney Side video. It pulls on the dad feels and the magic of childhood. Enjoy.
What’s your Disney Side?

Very cool looking cat!!! Almost looks like a cartoon
Is this the first time you’ve seen Grumpy Cat? If so, do a Google search! You’re in for a treat! 🙂
Yes, I’ve never seen him before, I’ll look him up. Thanks
