A Podcast on Parenting is giving a voice to Dad’s and Families.

When I found out I was becoming a Father, I had just discovered the creative outlet of Podcasting. Blogging hadn’t been going the way I had liked at that point, and I had always enjoyed talking more than typing. In the early days though, I was facing two problems: I don’t have a topic, and I don’t have anybody to talk too. I was all alone, just me and my microphone huddled in our small basement closet, no direction, just babbling away into the Internet. By the time our second Doctors appointment came around though, the idea struck me.
How about a Parenting Podcast? One that talks about being a parent in this age, and chronicling the crazy (or not so crazy) things that happen? Whats more: I could do it with a fellow Dad!
As it turned out, I didn’t have to look any further than my own driveway, as I met Nick Browne. My new Neighbor and fellow Dad not just to a 3 year old, but also a little one only a week younger than my own. We clicked immediately, and The Poppin’ Bottles Dad-Cast was born.
Almost 2 years later, and we’ve evolved into a fantastic show, always able to bounce stuff off each other, and talk about REAL parenting issues from teething, to items in the news such as the evolution of a Dads roll in society. We also have special guests from the great community of Parenting bloggers from all walks of life, and fellow Podcasters as well.
This week, we’re happy and excited to join The Good Men Project, as the Podcast for the Dads and Families section. This is a wonderful site, with a great group of people behind it, and we more than support the goal to keep evolving and “have the conversation no one else is having”.
So we hope you’ll tune in RIGHT HERE every week as we have great discussions, feature content from GMP Dads and Families, talk to amazing guests in the Parenting world, and have a bit of fun!
Apple product users can subscribe to us on iTunes, and don’t forget to check out our website for our catalog of episodes so far.
We hope you all will join us on our adventure every week as Dads in the modern world, and enjoy the show!
