Fathers need to be bond with their babies and that means becoming very physically involved at the earliest opportunity.

My psyche 101 text book from the 80s spoke of this. It also suggest, through study, that in the absence of the father, the mother maintains the motherly role, but in the absence of the mother, the father takes on both roles by adapting to the mother’s role. In 1991, Rosalind Mile wrote, “Love, sex, death and the making of the male” .
