100 Words on Love, by Ayoub Khote
–
There was an elderly couple, many years ago. They met a couple of kids, one just a baby, at the home of an immigrant seamstress. The seamstress and her family went from service provider to family in a heartbeat.
The kids, with only two surviving grandparents, both far away, gained a pair of grandparents nearby and were raised lovingly in two cultures; that of their parents, and that of their new grandparents.
Love sees no boundaries, and in its blindness, crosses them.
I was that baby, and all I know about love was taught to me by my unique family.
