The greatest successes are the ones who left what was comfortable and stepped out into what was unknown.

Most people spend more time at work than they do at home with their family. If that is the case, you would think more people would make it a priority to do what they love.
We were told at a business conference once, “Your job is not who you are, it is just a job.” We could not disagree more.
Some people are good with just going through the motions to bring home a paycheck. Passionate people are not, they suffocate at the thought of just going through the motions. Passionate people want their work to be a reflection of who they are, they are incredibly hard workers, and they want their work to make an impact in this world.
If you are a passionate person, and you associate with any of the following twelve reasons, it is time to quit your job.

1. You Have Lost Your Passion
You probably started this job with a fire burning passion for what it entailed, or because you knew it was a stepping stone to get to where you want to be. If the flame has fizzled out, that is because you have fulfilled your purpose and it is time to step into your next chapter.
2. Your Drive to Work Is Miserable
Not many people love their job every single day of their lives, but most often your job should be something that gets you excited to get out of bed in the morning. If you find yourself with a pit in your stomach more often than not on your way to work, your soul is trying to tell you that this is not for you anymore.
3. Your Work Is Affecting Your Home Life
Passionate people have a hard time not taking work home with them. When your job is great the people in your life get the best of you, and when your job is not fulfilling you the people in your life get the worst of you. No one should have to walk on egg shells at home.
4. You Stalk the Clock
You used to feel like your days flew by, and you could not wait to get back to work and do it again. Now, ten minutes feels like an hour, and all you can think about all day is getting home and relaxing on the couch. You need a job that motivates you to make the most out of every minute.
5. Social Media Has Become Your Nine to Five
When you find yourself in a position at work that it is more interesting or time-consuming to scroll through your social media news feed than to do your job, it is time to get a new job.
6. Your Happiness Revolves Around Your Weekend
Your weekend plans have become the only thing that keeps you going. You start making plans on Monday to pack your schedule for Saturday through Sunday nice and tight. That way you can feel like you finally did something purposeful with your time.
7. But You Cannot Stop Thinking About Monday
The dread for your job has become so strong that once the weekend hits it doesn’t matter how many fun things you have planned. All you can think about is the fact that you still have to go back to work on Monday.
8. You Are Easily Irritated By Everything and Everyone
You used to be the co-worker that everyone wanted to be around, and now they all feel like they can’t do anything right for you. Even the simplest tasks feel daunting and exhausting because you feel like you should be using your time to do something more meaningful.
9. You Don’t Agree With the Direction the Company Is Headed
At one time you felt like this could have been your life career, and now you can’t picture yourself working at this company for another year. You can understand why the company is making certain changes from a business and customer standpoint, but that doesn’t mean this job is for you anymore.
10. Your Opinion Doesn’t Matter
The freedom to add who you are to what you are doing is important to you. You want to bring value to the job that you are doing and to the people around you. When your opinion and input become insignificant to the progression of your career, you aren’t going to develop at the rate that fulfills you.
11. Your Performance Goes Unrecognized
At the moment that your worth and value to the company is no longer recognized, you should take your gifts and talents elsewhere. You pride yourself on your work ethics and your drive, and that should be what gets you where you want to be.
12. You Have a Dream
You know in your heart that you were created for greatness, and you have the goals and ambitions to get there. Don’t settle for a job that doesn’t satisfy you or contribute to your personal and professional growth. Your dream doesn’t have time to sit on the sidelines.
