I approve of this article, although I wonder, if this had been a scientific survey, would there be more comments to the contrary. For example, “guys who wear pony tails” or something. Was the macho point of view purposely excluded? I would like to believe that most guys hated macho behavior in other guys, but I doubt it’s true. Happy to say my father always discouraged macho behavior. I believe men (and women) should strive for strength and confidence, but should use them in a manner tempered with wisdom and understanding.
I work in hospitality and my biggest gripe is the men who are so proud they refuse to let me do my job of helping them. I’ve had my hands slapped (lightly) so some guy who is paying me to do my job won’t feel ineffectual. Women are almost always happy to hand me the reins so they can drink their coffee while I make their morning easier.
