Surprise, a banging sex life doesn’t start in the bedroom. It starts with taking care of your body and mind.
This may seem like a BOLD question, but its one that must be asked if your age if your age is between 18-88! Are you having GREAT sex? You know the type of activity I’m talking about! Jaw dropping, wall pinning, sheets-soaking-wet-every-morning-and-night sex! The kind of “kitchen island sex”? Wait…NO? Well, then you may want to begin by adopting a few of my favorite healthy lifestyle habits below! These are certain to boost your libido and have you singing praises for years to come!
1.) Start a Juicing Regimen!
There is no denying starting your day off with a big juice is one of the healthiest things you can do for yourself. Did you know however that it also does WONDERS for the libido? It sure does! Juicing helps to detox the body. When your body is clean….the sex drive, well it wants to get dirty:)
I know what you’re going to tell me! “But Andrea, I don’t have the time!” I’m here to tell you, you do! Did you know you can actually FREEZE your juice! Yep! It’s true! Sure, It will lose a few enzymes but filling a canning jar almost to the top with fresh vegetable juice and placing a lid on it to freeze overnight or for a day or two won’t hurt anything! You’ll still be getting the massive benefits of juicing! Be sure and check out my juicing recipe at the bottom of this article to get started!
2.) Move your Body now!
Did you know that just 35 minutes is all you need to make a difference in your body, mood and in your sex life? Walking, rebounding weight training, its ALL good! Not only can it make your blues go away and firm your tush, it also gets your lymphatic system pumping! The lymph system is the control center for a white substance called lymphatic fluid in our bodies. The lymph doesn’t move on its own, you have to move it! Oh and once it gets going, guess what else gets going! You guessed right! Your sex drive! So head for the hills, the rebounder or the gym!
3.) Got Yoga?
You don’t need to be a yoga instructor to know the benefits of yoga. The breath work alone is enough to relax you. Yoga restores and rebalances your body for a minimum of 24 hours after a practice. Whether it’s Bikram, hot yoga, Hatha, Iyengar, or Ashtanga, you’re sure to be challenged and rewarded both mentally and physically! Did you know when you feel RELAXED it puts you in the mood? Try hitting a yoga class 2-3 times per week and watch your sex life go through the roof!
4.) Get some ZZZZs
You’ve heard of getting eight hours of sleep, yes? How about six? The truth is many of us do need eight full hours of sleep, but many others do not! Here is a fact, however! No sleep=no sex! This is especially true for men! If you are not getting shut eye you better believe your body will take it when it needs it…in the middle of you trying to get your grove on!
5.) Shut off your TV, cell & computer
I’m sure you can do this! The truth is these distractions are not only unhealthy but also VERY off putting to your partner! Trust me when I say closing down the shop will open up a WORLD of possibilities in the bedroom!
6.) Make an herbal Tonic!
I could and should write an entire book on this subject! If you are not taking adaptogen herbs then you are missing out! I personally make a blend every morning using ten adaptogenic herbs. Apparently, I’m not alone. Many athletes use adaptogens such as ginseng to improve their performance. Do your homework prior to venturing off into this neck of the woods, though because everybody is unique and will require a different set and amount of herbs.
7.) Try a little essential oil love!
I bet you didn’t know this…shhhhh don’t tell but essential oils can stimulate FAR more than your sense of smell!
My top essential oils to increase sex dive:
Ylang Ylang – Not only does this smell AMAZING but almost ALL men love it in fact! When your gal wears this, watch what happens!
Clary Sage – This is another oil for your lady when you are ready to get your grove on! This oil has a deep sweet nutty flavor and can be described as euphoric. It’s traditionally used to promote hormonal balance within the body. If your hormones are out of whack you will definitely experience a low libido! A low libido leads to a low sex drive!
Cinnamon Bark – Cinnamon smells like a sexual Christmas and is known to be a powerful brain tonic. It has long been known to enhance energy and reduce physical fatigue, and is also reputed to be the oil of sexual harmony.
Indigo Blue Spruce- This pine smelling essential oil is known for stimulating testosterone in men! You will also love the smell! I sprinkle it around my home like non toxic carpet refresher!

- 7 pieces lacinato kale
- 1/2 of a beet with the greens
- 1/2 of a lemon with the rind
- 1 Fuji smith apple
- 1/2 of a cucumber
- 4 stalks of celery
