A familiar scene in cities around the globe. A homeless man, all his meager worldly possessions in a small pile beside him sitting on a sidewalk in a busy promenade. Hat strategically positioned in front of his feet, hoping for enough change from kind strangers for a meal at days end. A young man asks to borrow his bucket, and after momentary hesitation, he relents. The young man places his own hat down and starts playing the drums with the bucket. Watching what happened next will restore your faith in humanity and and power of small acts of kindness.

We live in cynical times and an age described as one of rudeness and mediocrity. It is uplifting and comforting to see these acts of grace, empathy and kindness. If we want it and act accordingly, we just might be in for a kinder and happier future.

Thanks for your comment and you are absolutely right. This is about the message and it’s a very powerful one. Music moves us and has the potential to lift our spirit and take us to a higher place. These musicians use their music for a message of compassion, kindness and empathy and I applaud them.
Thanks for sharing a touching video. A bit of goodness goes a long way. It is in the description of the video that the homeless man was an actor. This means it is a message we must carry with us. Only then will it be a success. We must act and with that choice, we ultimately decide if the message gets to have more impact.
