There is a great, not so ancient proverb that says: Always be yourself unless you are Batman. If you are Batman, then be Batman as much as you can.

Of course, being you is the most important advice for every young person, in terms of self respect, of nurturing their own character and presenting their own values to the world.
But why not try to be a better than yourself? Not in way of pretending, but in a way of improving. It is not cheating if you want to be a greater person, cheating is when you claim that already you are.
So, how to be better person? It is not to hard believe me.

Of course, as individuals we have little chance to change the world, but that’s not excuse to stop trying to. Few people certainly succeeded in their efforts to make this planet better place for everybody and many more will in the future. And you wonder how? It’s because they wanted to be better! This world will be prettier not if we put more make-up, but if we give more effort.
So, how to be better person? It is not to hard believe me. If you don’t know what is your problem, start to ask yourself questions. Test yourself. For example, check your opinion about civil rights, minority groups, racial diversification, social justice, or gender equality.
There is no shame if we are not good as we thought that we are…

You may think that you have no racial issue, but then ask yourself would you like your children to be married to someone whose skin color is different than yours, or is coming from different cultural, religious, or social heritage.
Try to imagine that situation and ask yourself are you really cool with it. Or, you can imagine your children in a same sex marriage, or married to a refuge or an illegal worker. Are you still cool?
There is no shame if we are not good as we thought that we are, but it is shameful if we are not trying to make ourselves better.
Not all of us can become Batman, but if you are Edward E. Nigma don’t glorify yourself, instead seek for professional help and let Batman to do his job.
