Are you a military child with a story to tell? We want YOU!

An excerpt from http://www.monthofthemilitarychild.com, dated January 1, 2013:
Secretary of Defense Caspar W. Weinberger in 1986 designated each April as “The Month of the Military Child.” Recognizing the contribution that the military child makes as their parent or parents serve our nation, it is during April of each year that all branches of services provide special days and events to honor the family and their children. The military child as they grow and become youth into the teenage years, are an inspiration and a source of pride for our nation. Frequent moves and family separations through deployments, and then the reintegration issues make life especially challenging. Often military children are looked up to for their resilience and ability to deal with life changing events.
Are you a military child–either within or outside the 18-24 year old demographic–with a story to tell?
How was childhood different unique? How is your emerging adulthood unique? What incredible opportunities did/do you enjoy? What significant challenges did/do you face? Have you followed in a parent’s military footsteps? Why or why not? Explore any facet of the military child lifestyle, as long as it speaks to our 18-24 year old Guyhood audience.
Paragraph anecdotes, full-length articles, poetry, video … all mediums are welcome. We want to hear your story and honor the Month of the Military Child.
