The cop, the protest, and the little girl with the tiny broom. Goodness is all around us.
Note from editors: When a contributor sent us this photo, taken by her friend Nichole Rosado, we knew we had to share it. It breaks nearly every stereotype being shared by the media about the Baltimore Uprising protests. We love the community, goodness and collective spirit of this mom, daughter and a supportive police officer. Our hats off to those making change, in every way.

A note from the photographer:
A Baltimore City Officer is seen talking to a little girl who was helping clean up Baltimore with her pink broom.
This image just warmed my heart. The officer did not know them and kneeled to talk. People all around were peacefully protesting and cleaning up Baltimore at the same time. Passionate yet peaceful. Of course the media was all around hanging out waiting for “action”. Baltimore is so much more than what the country saw on television.
Major Steven Ward, the officer pictured here, has been serving since 1999. The media has been flooded with the worst images that could be found. This image gives me hope. This is the Baltimore you will not see on the news.
