Jr. high, high school, college, trade school, any school can be challenging for gay, bi, trans*, and queer folk. We want to hear your stories and advice.
It’s almost back-to-school time, and for gay, bi, trans*, and queer folk of all ages, this can be liberating, devastating, maybe both.
We want to hear from you. Were you or are you out at school? Why or why not? What did you learn, and what can you share with other G/B/T/Q folk and the people around them?
We’re also open to stories from parents, teachers, mentors, and others in schools who are G/B/T/Q themselves or work with G/B/T/Q students.
There is no upper age limit, although we ask that writers be at least 16.
Written or video submissions welcome, no gratuitous sexual content, please.
Send your pitches, proposals, or finished pieces to [email protected]. Previously published work will be considered as long as you have the rights to reprint it. No books or book-length submissions for this call, please.
