The Good Men Project is looking for stories on the topic of “Performing Masculinity”.
We’re looking for people who perform masculinity in a variety of ways:
Drag kings, cross-gender actors, performance artists, singers, activits, anyone for whom looking/acting/interacting as a male/in a masculine way is something they do on a stage or to a purpose.
We’d also like to hear from those who choose, or feel they have to, perform in a specific “masculine” way to live or survive day-to-day.
We want to know why you do it, how you do it, what you love (or hate) about it, why it’s important or necessary for you, are there certain items/rituals/places/music/etc that you associate with your way of “being a man”, whatever your story is.
We are not defining here what male/masculine are. That’s for you to do, dear writers.
