There should be no line between society and environment. S.E.L.F. has found one way to balance the two!

New York, NY — We-Care.com, a leading provider of philanthropic technology, is highlighting Solar Electric Light Fund (S.E.L.F.) as their Cause of the Month throughout July.
More than 1.2 billion people have no access to electricity. S.E.L.F. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that installs solar energy systems in impoverished areas around the world, vastly improving the quality of life for individuals and communities in more than 20 countries.
“We’re incredibly grateful to be selected as We-Care.com’s Cause of the Month,” said Executive Director of S.E.L.F. Robert Freling. “The funds generated by their campaign will go towards funding solar energy projects to improve the health, education and general well-being of people in need around the world. This month will also serve as a tremendous opportunity to raise awareness among thousands of We-Care.com users.”
As the Cause of the Month, S.E.L.F. will receive exposure to We-Care.com’s community of over one million cause supporters, thousands of whom have chosen to send the donations they generate through We-Care.com to the featured Cause of the Month.
“We’re excited to be working with S.E.L.F. and hope the Cause of the Month campaign spreads awareness about those who live without something that so many of us depend on every day,” said We-Care.com Director of Operations Gina Navani. “We walk into a room, switch on the light, fill up a glass of clean, cold water and often don’t think twice about these simple actions. We’ve got a huge opportunity to provide communities with solar electric power by simply shopping online. It could change people’s lives, and we’re on a mission to do that this month.”

As my friend and colleague Sam Keen says: “The radical vision of the future rests on the belief that the logic that determines either our survival or our destruction is simple: 1. The new human vocation is to heal the Earth. 2. We can only heal what we love. 3. We can only love what we know. 4. We can only know what we touch.” And of course it could be said that in order to heal the… Read more »
