Emmy-winning comedian Ed Crasnick merges humor and healing to nurture personal breakthroughs.
—
Ed Crasnick is an Emmy-winning writer and producer who’s had two passions in life: stand-up comedy and self-help. Over the last few years, Ed has created live interactive shows where he merges the two different fields. He says that while the aim of each show is to help people, there’s a lot of humor that comes from the cast of characters, mostly his comedian friends, who act out and moderate the different parts of the show. Think of it as a version of “Who’s Line Is It Anyways?” with a lot more emotional depth.
It’s a tricky balance managing emotional processes with humor and entertainment (I ask him about it), but he says that the reason the shows have been successful is precisely because they are full of real emotions and feelings.
