Whether it’s finding the best place to get mouth-watering burgers, or planning a back-to-basics camping expedition with the guys, Pinterest delivers all the tools for you to plot your travel.

Forget all the preconceived notions you had about Pinterest, the visual discovery tool where those with casual interests collect images of all their favorite stuff.
Especially now that travel season is officially underway, guys too are now turning to Pinterest more than ever to find primo beaches, fishing spots and outdoor destinations, and even honeymoon spots.
Recently, Pinterest released a new feature made specifically for travel called “Place Pins” – which has now been widely adopted as a go-to trip planning tool, with nearly 1 billion place pins created to date. Place Pins make Pinterest more useful for travel by combining the inspiring imagery of a travel magazine with the utility of an interactive online map that is easily shared with friends. Because they’re accessible on any device, you can find new places and even get directions on the go. And, once the trip is over, you can share place boards with favorite destinations, travel recommendations and personal snapshots.
The launch of Place Pins has not gone unnoticed by male users, who are now using Pinterest to plot their next excursion. Travel-related Pinterest Place Boards created by male users have focused on camping, on exploring the Mexican Riviera, on hitting the Outback of Australia, and on more generalized trip ideas such as discovering what makes the Great White North of Canada so great.
