Love this! As a gay man myself, I find it rather annoying to be categorized based on the stereotypes surrounding my sexuality. But this uniform way of reading homosexuality is actually part of a larger problem: the way society regards (or disregards) masculinity. We know that gender is infinitely varied and fluid, yet as a society, we still choose to perceive masculinity as a singular concept. The sooner we come to realize there are multiple versions of masculinity and multiple versions of homosexuality, the better.
