Really great article. I agree that a man’s need to be uplifted is overlooked in most media/socially driven relationship advice. One question though, how would you recommend a man present or express this need to his significant other?

That is a thoughtful question. I can only answer as someone ELSE’S significant other. But what I need is to know HOW to fulfill a need. I’d want to know what you need, and if you need to be uplifted (and who doesn’t!) I’d want to know what lifts you up. Because I might think I’m fulfilling that need, maybe because I’ve giving you what I’d want if I were you. So perhaps something like “it’s so uplifting for me when you say/do/show… and I really need that, it’s so important to me.” Or maybe that’s too corny. But it’s… Read more »
