Nothing is sadder than seeing a child with a cast on. The anecdote? Put a rapping doctor in front of that child and watch magic happen.

Honestly, this warmed my heart and made me laugh all at once. Presenting cast care instructions to this little girl in the form of rap lines, this doctor somehow made all the scariness associated with the injury evaporate.
This is about a billion miles more feel good than “Patch Adams,” and miles more inspiring. This doctor deserves a medal, a parade and several thousand gift bags for his time and attention to his job.
“Don’t hate, just elevate.”

LIZ ROWLEY Writer/editor by day, music journalist by night, Liz is her best self when she is reporting. She earned degrees in Politics and French from Bates College in Maine, but more importantly discovered a niche for herself at the campus radio station. A tireless new music hound, she enjoys timeless novels, distant lands, all plant life, photography and running. Technically from Chicago but raised abroad by a pair of foreign correspondents, wanderlust and writing intersect at her core.
