Get out of your own way.
Take these 5 steps toward better health and well being.
We all want optimum health and happiness forever, but what the heck are we doing about it? There are so many different diets, exercise regimes, spiritual quests, vacations, clinics, advisors and on and on. There are so many things to check in with, learn from, discuss, etc. What is the right course of action for you? I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you’re the only one who can decide.
I’ve spent time with gurus, healers, poor people in India and billionaires in Malibu. I’m here to tell you that money and stuff will not make you happy, trust me. I’ve watched people with a lot of money walk around this world completely miserable and I’ve seen people with nothing except a huge heart be perfectly happy. I’ve had my own ups and downs. Coming from less than fortunate beginnings, I was able to claw my way out to a very happy, healthy and fit life.
Now my goal is to share all my knowledge, experiences, strengths and weaknesses with you. I will sift through the enormous mountains of information on health and fitness so that you can take immediate action to make your own life better. Then hopefully, you will begin to influence those around you. Ultimately our goal here is to make the world a happier, healthier, more fit and well balanced place to be.
Without further ado, here are the 5 things you can do everyday to increase optimum state of well being:
- Move your ass! That’s right, get out and sweat. Exercise. I don’t care if you need to walk circles around your living room, run an ultra marathon or get to your local Soul Cycle class. Do something, it will increase the serotonin levels in your brain making you happier and it will keep your body in a state of regeneration and growth.
- Eat less crap! By now you know that sugar, too much meat, too much alcohol, too much caffeine, too much of just about anything isn’t good for you, but more importantly make yourself a science project and see how you feel when you eat less crap.
- Spend some time alone in contemplation. We spend so much time in our heads and sometimes that’s a tricky place to live. A little meditation will go a long way in calming the mind, relaxing the nervous system and putting you more at ease.
- Smile! Yes, when you smile you feel better, it’s a scientific fact. And go ahead, try to smile and feel angry or depressed at the same time, not possible. So brighten up and give the world a smile. 😉
- Give. There are so many resources in this wonderful world, yet sometimes we seem to stay stuck in our scarcity mentality. One of the best ways to get out of your own head is to give to someone else. A hug, a smile, some money, food, advice, love. Get out of your own head by giving to someone else. Join me!
