If you want to get a grip on what is going on in your head, get it OUT of your head.

“Life gives us all kinds of messages that can be used as inspiration or excuses. It’s the interpretation that matters.” ~ From Just Blow It Up: Firepower for Living an Unlimited Life
If you want to know what you really think, write it down. If you want to know how you really feel, write it down. If you want to know what you really fear, write it down.
I recognize my hopes, dreams, fears, and brick walls that I carry hidden in the secret caverns of my heart.

Whether I’m jotting down ideas on a piece of handy scrap paper, doing one of my favorite journaling exercises, or crafting a piece to contribute to a magazine site, I always learn something about myself I didn’t know.
I catch sneaky little prejudices I would have sworn I snuffed out long ago. I put my finger on dots that had been refusing to connect. I excavate memories and lessons that I failed to think important in the moment when they happened. And I recognize my hopes, dreams, fears, and brick walls that I carry hidden in the secret caverns of my heart.
I’ve never kept a diary. Never written down the facts of the events of my days.
But I’ve always shared my inner self with my outer self by writing it down.
Because it isn’t what happened that is important to me. It’s what I make of it.
You see, not only does writing let you see what is going on inside your head, it let’s you CHANGE it.
Writing — journals, blog posts, books, poems, notes to self, goals, ideas…
Writing gives you the power to change your life. And it gives you the opportunity to help others change their lives as well.
