Gobble gobble! Happy Thanksgiving from Bath, New Hampshire! Mustache has been a success so far. Compliments all around.
Movember Awareness
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I’ll write about how being thankful can help with depression. I used to think that comparing my life to those less fortunate was irrelevant because it’s two different worlds. I’m used to being able to have milk to spill, so it’s ok for me to cry about it when it does. While this is true, you shouldn’t just ignore the comparison all together. When you think about it, being down about that promotion you should’ve got is kind of silly when you could’ve been born into different circumstances and could be starving and alone on Thanksgiving. Not all depression is as easily cured, but I find that when I compare how good my life is to how bad it could’ve been (even if you feel you have a horrible life, it could always be worse), it tends to act as a slap to the face. Wake up. Be thankful for what you do have.

Trim day! Finally a little off the beard to clean things up. I feel refreshed. Happy Thanksgiving!
Movember Awareness
Honor yourself and be happy with the things around you by being thankful on thanksgiving, and always. Mental disorders in both sexes are not easily fought. A combination of medication and positive thinking, as well as activities, good habits, and routine help one stay focused on the path to a positive life; but reflecting and being thankful can put things in perspective when depression and anxiety get a good hold on you. Remember always, what you are thankful for and why you are thankful for it.
